The 2010 County Health Rankings report, produced by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, was released on February 17, 2010. This report is a collection of 50 health reports, one per state, which reflect the overall health of counties in every state across the nation.

The 2010 County Health Rankings report helps us see how where we live, learn, work and play influence how healthy we are and how long we live. This report is the first year of a three-year study that will allow for the identification of trends and progress across the entire study.

Health is everyone’s responsibility. The public health, health care, business, education and government sectors must recognize all of the factors that influence the health of our community so we can continue to work together to create programs and policies that will help our citizens to lead healthier lives.
